The story behind the journey
From cubicle to world traveler
After years of dreaming about travel while stuck in a 9-5 job, I finally took the leap. I quit my marketing job, sold most of my belongings, and bought a one-way ticket to Thailand.
Spent 12 months backpacking through Southeast Asia, learning photography, and documenting my experiences. Started Wanderlust Journal as a way to share tips with friends and family.
The blog gained traction, and I realized I could turn this passion into a career. Learned about SEO, content strategy, and monetization while exploring Europe.
Expanded to YouTube and Instagram, collaborated with tourism boards, and built a community of fellow travelers. Explored Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
Now helping thousands of people plan their trips through detailed guides, honest reviews, and practical advice. Living proof that you can design a life you love.
What guides my adventures
I believe in traveling responsibly, respecting local cultures, and minimizing environmental impact. Every destination deserves to be preserved for future generations.
Skip the tourist traps and dive deep into local life. The best memories come from genuine connections with people and places.
Travel doesn't have to be expensive. I share practical tips to help you explore more while spending less, without sacrificing quality.
A picture is worth a thousand words. I capture the essence of each destination through photography to inspire your wanderlust.

Everything you wanted to know
I earn income through blog monetization (ads, affiliate marketing), sponsored content, freelance writing, and photography. It took time to build, but it's possible with dedication.
I shoot with a Sony A7III and various lenses (16-35mm, 24-70mm, 85mm). For video, I use a DJI Osmo Pocket and my iPhone 14 Pro.
Mostly solo, which gives me flexibility and authentic experiences. Occasionally, I meet up with fellow bloggers or friends join me for specific trips.
Impossible to choose! But if pressed, Japan holds a special place in my heart for its culture, food, and hospitality. Ask me again next month and the answer might change!
